Igomene Joseph, also known as Iggy is an inspirational writer and a mental health consumer (aka client) but he prefers to call himself and others in similar situation, pioneers of enlightment. He is also a true humanitarian and a promoter of our divine inheritance as angels. Iggy is a mental health advocate and a seeker of inspirational wisdom and insight. He is a non-traditional college student studying to obtain his Associate of Arts Degree in Public Relations & Organizational Communications.
Provided by National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), he has participated in the Family-to-Family Education Program; a free education and support course for families who have relatives with brain disorders. He is a firm believer in a children’s parable, The Little Soul and The Sun by Neale Donald Walsh, author of the best-selling book Conversations With God. Iggy has also participated in a five-day intensive workshop of principles and concepts contained in the “With God” series of books, conducted by Mr. Walsch and the Recreation staff.
Iggy has appeared in the movie, Conversations With God as well as premiered on channel 17, WLRN’s show Perspective: Understanding Mental Health. He has conducted several free workshops and presentations in his community and he has also attended several scholarship paid conferences on the benefits and purpose of forgiveness.
